Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political adviser who was the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 until 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki began her career in 2001, as an official political contributor for CNN. She worked on the campaign for re-election of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was then appointed press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014. She was named Communications Director in the White House and continued to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
